VIF Designbrief: Explore potentials in social web-based capaign applications for VIF. It should be limited in time, based around a specific event, activity or target audience and  have a specific goal or purpose.

Task description:
By looking at the time before, during and after a football season I want to explore how a web-based campaign can get more supporters to come to VIF-matches.

Target group:
Supporters of the main football supporters; half supporters
(girlfriend, wife, friends, mom, parents, grandparents)

Problem area:
How can we make football more engaging and personal for beginners?

Goal:
To get more football supporters to attend matches and be more involved in theire team.

We made 30 ideacards with a iconic picture and a text describing the idea. I choose 12 ideas to upload into the Living Lab who is a place where football supporters rate and comment owr ideas.

Here are the ideas I put into Living Lab:

I choose to work further on the Recipe idea because I see a lot of potencial in this project.

THE EXPLODED MUSEUM

•October 13, 2009 • 1 Comment

We are now starting a three week project with Anthony Rowe as owr main tutor.

This is a collaboration project with InterMedia, an interdisciplinary research center at the University of Oslo.

We are a group of students working on new ideas for an interactive museum experience.

Brief;

What are the affordances(and constraints) of interactive and sosial media in museum settings? How can technologies enhance visitors experience and interaction with museum artefacts, providing deeper understanding and engagement?

This is a videoskech of one of my ideas ;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRMiEm1TySk

This is the consept…

SPEAK UP!

Input; sms, Output; projectors

Target: The National Gallery in Oslo, Norway

Main target group: Non experts

User journey:

The user walk into the museum and goes to choosen painting. Above(?) the painting is a question. The user can chose to answer the question or not. The user answars the question by responding to a number by sms. The sms is than projected on the wall, and the user recives a code that can be used on a later stage.

There is a set of questions that can be used, they change randomly(?). The answars to a spesific question will follow the question. The amount of answars can be various.

Other possible ideas:

1.We are talking about having a screen/projection outside the wall of the museum that show the picture, question and comments that are inside the museum. The picture will randomly show the different paintings beeing commented.

2.School classes will have the possibility to write a story/answar together to a question by sending a code message sms with group.

Context:

We are 4 students from AHO in this group; me, Ivan, Martin and Theo. The other group: Svein, Synne, Natasha and Fanny will possibly work with a touch table that are prosessing all the answars that comes out of owr project. The InterMedia people will help us programming owr ideas so we can make something real that actually works.

The next 2 weeks task I am working together with Fanny. http://fannymonier.blogspot.com/

Task Description: Design a softwere for you and max. 2 others, friends, family or colleages. It has to be for a small mobile with touchscreen.

I joined in on Fannys idea making a softwere of word for iphone. It’s a softwere for two friends speaking two different languages, playing with words and the way they sound. You can record words and sounds and put them in different categorys like funny, childlike, weard and so on. I am working on a part we call Games, that is about sending words and setences back and forward. I will try and repeat the word or read something Fanny have put  in French even if I don’t speak French. She can give me a responce back of what I am doing wrong or just have a laugh.

This is a consept called Challanges who is a part of Fannys and my consept called BLABLA. http://fannymonier.blogspot.com/

Challenges is a game for two friends talking in different languages. In this example I used me and Miray as users. I am Norwegian and Miray is from Turkey. We both have the softwere in our own language, this is mine in Norwegian.

Miray sent me a message in her language as a challange along with a sound clip of her approsiation of the setence or word. I record myself trying to say the same setence after some practice. Then I send it to Miray, or try again.  She thinks I am funny and record a answar back to me where she explain what I said or just make fun of me.

Here is a video showing me as a user:

Task description; Design and document a consept for a new TV-guide. You should be able to navigate and get an overview of 50 channels.

Working together with Ivan Milanovic  ivan.mivaco.com at this project. We took a look at some of the tv-guides that exist today and discussed them;

We agreed that we like Dagbladets new tv-guide the best, it look new, in the time and fresh. It is pretty much based on all the features we see in all tv-guides. We miss the social aspect of it, could a tv-guide be a social network like facebook? Talking about the different series and films, commeting, rating and suggestions to your friends? We also think Dagbladets tv-guide is a bit messy with too much information and features at once. And we don’t like the way you scroll thru time.

We want to work on the visuals and see how it would be to start with a small meny first, to choose your interest. Starting from very little, building the guide bigger by choosing more and more information instead of the usual way, taking away things. There is very few people that need all that information.

We also got inspired by different Norwegian tv channels tv guides and film guides like TV3, TV2, FEM, TV NORGE.

Her er noen av de første utkastene til vår tv-guide;

Here are the final result (consept skisse) after 2 weeks:

TV-GUIDE serier

You have one main page for everything. You can see what is on at this moment and you can turn it into a film or sportsguide etc. You can work with the channels inside the program by drag and drop channels to move them in order and you can delite them. By going inside and clicking on series or news you get that catagory up, the side starts empety with catagorys. In that way you don’t have to see any information you are not interested in. In addiction you have to orange buttons at the top where you can choose days and channels.

Paper prototyping

•August 20, 2009 • 1 Comment

Our first task was to paper prototype movement for a picture service on internet, phone or touch screen.

Here are three of my ideas: Picture Three, Crunch and Memory.

I really like the Picture Three, it could also be in 3D ! I am using pictures from my portefolio representing all my consepts. I emagine this beeing my web portefolio, showing that I am artistic, innovativ, creative and like to work with visuals.

All the leaves(pictures) are waving/ moving at the branches. When you click at a picture it will fall off the branch, falling down as a leaf coming closer and getting bigger. When you click it again you will get into a new screen picture where you see the hole consept in a more tradisional form. When you click the tree icon you will come back to the picure tree and you can choose a new consept. You can also pick up the leafs that have fallen down to get into the conseps again.

Futher development;

It could be a lot of fun little animations/ elements like birds in the tree singing and flying away with a picture, or making a birds nest of some pictures, or a squrrel going up and down the tree, trowing the fallen leafs up in the air.
